So in case you missed out - Eric Benet was in Sydney this week past and performed a STELLAR concert .. which !! .. I had to miss out on because I was too damn sick to be there!

But - being the nice guy that he is he came down to Marble Bar on Friday night and did an improptu performance with the resident band Brown Sugar. There is some footage out there which I may get a chance to put up soon! .. In the mean tim though I did get to meet the man ! .. Thank God !

So I told him I was the one that made the mixtape of him and he said thank-you and gave me some big ups for it. So if you haven't got the copy of the mix tape which the man himself has - make sure you get a copy.

R.I.P Nickolas Ashford (May 4, 1941 - August 22, 2011)

Hello Peeps !!

It seems that this week the soul world has taken another blow right at its core this time. Nickolas Ashford from the Motown writing/singing duo - Ashford & Simpson, has passed away. Known for some of Motown's most notable hits "Ain't No Mountain High Enough", "You're All I Need To Get By", "Ain't Nothing Like the Real Thing", and "Reach Out and Touch (Somebody's Hand)" ... This is a tragic lost to the soul world!.. The rock will never be solid without him!
